Selena Y Los Dinos became famous in states of the west by mid-year. In 1986, the group got their first taste when Selena was awarded Female Vocalist of the Year and The Best Performer Award during the Tejano music awards. From then on Selena Y Los Dinos were among the top winners each year, and earned the attention and fame. There were many Spanish language TV shows like El Show De Johnny Canales all the time in Domingo (Saturday Night Gigante) and El Show De Johnny Canales always on Sunday were featured.
